The project
specification required the system to operate in a coastal saline atmosphere with ambient
conditions up to 55°C.
There were potential corrosive contaminants in the atmosphere requiring chemical
filtration and gas detection.
The building was positively pressurised to 50Pa ensuring the exclusion of contaminants and
dust.
The entire air conditioning system was in duty and standby format and operated using
R134a.
